Our experience ranges though and to studio recording, with experience in using a wide range of digital hardware and software packages, including ProTools LE and TDM systems, Logic Pro, Logic Studio and Cubase.
Although the majority of our work is conducted in our own studios we do not currently have a fully fledged live room, but have engineered and produced at several studio locations around the country. Above are some examples of our work.
Kelly
We worked with Kelly and Producer David Lawrie to create a short demo of 4 tracks the artist wanted to use to promote herself.
We specifically produced a warm washing mix, experimenting with slight production techniques and twists. This particular excerpt is taken from the track 'Home' which differed from the other tracks through the use of 2 stereo arrays within the studio environment ... Experimentation was the name of the game here!
Indirah
Indirah were a female fronted alternative rock band, based in Leeds, with close links to the now split NerveEngine. Their style though was very different and this is something we specifically worked on while producing and recording this track. We experimented with over 10 different mics for the lead vocals, which were felt to be one of the identifying elements in the track. All elements were overdubbed, with the exception of the rhythm tracks.
Emma Ludlow
Emma is a singer songwriter based in Hampshire. We recorded these demos primarily for her own promotional work. As a result we took a simplistic approach, and used both real and sampled instruments, achieving exactly the sound she wanted, not too commercial, and something that was unique to her style of voice and guitar.
