See, hear and listen to ... HardwireMedia.
our location recording portfolio
Location recording has long been one of the main focuses of HardwireMedia, for the last year especially, and we intend to press forward with this over the coming years too.
Put simply we can think of nothing more exciting than capturing a ‘live’ performance, the atmosphere and unique environment it is performed in.
Above are a few examples of our work. More are available, just send us a message and we can dispatch one of our Media packs to you.

We recorded the Symphony Orchestra in Roundhey, Leeds. The brief we received was to record a very 'honest' and 'transparent' recording, capturing the true experience of being in the venue for the performance. We mixed the recording using just 2 mics, specifically with reference to the brief for the recording, and used very little 'production' or editing of the physical audio, demonstrating the planning and implementation prior to the recording.
This excerpt was recorded in 'The Venue', a concert hall part owned by the BBC. The recording showcases the capture of both vocals and piano, from within a public venue, where mic placements were limited. We set up two stereo pairs, located towards the rear of the hall, and indeed pointing down from the balcony above the choir. There was no room for access or placement on or near the stage. This excerpt hopefully demonstrates the clarity that was achieved through careful planning, implementation and mixing.
We were commissioned to record and edit down for CD and presentation as coursework, a series of music recital performances from a local school. The example here is the final assessed recording from one of the pupils. The portfolio and performances received high praise from the Edexcel Examination Board.
